About Germann Instruments

For over a quarter of a century, Germann Instruments has been the leader in the field of test systems for nondestructive (NDT), on-site investigation of reinforced concrete structures.

Germann Instruments constantly develops, manufactures and markets its innovative and cutting-edge product line worldwide through offices in Denmark, the United States, Luxembourg and distributors in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

The test systems covers important aspects of concrete construction and investigation, such as

Durability of new structures

Service life estimation

Fast track construction

Structural Integrity

Corrosion investigation

Repair quality

Monitoring

Every year Germann Instruments adds to its already long line of test systems and keeps developing and improving its existing systems.

The test systems are in nature nondestructive. However, some of them are partial destructive, requiring limited near-to-surface invasion. Properly applied, the test systems allow quick testing, providing immediate results, on-site.

For correct operation the test systems have to be maintained and calibrated according to the procedures outlined in the manuals accompanying the test systems.

For optimal use the field engineers and consultants performing the testing have to be trained and skilled in the use of the systems, as well as in the planning of the testing and interpretation of the test results. Furthermore, understanding the fundamental deterioration mechanisms of reinforced concrete structures is essential to perform proper testing.

For this purpose Germann Instruments has formed a group for consulting, training, support and on-site testing of structures, the NDT-Titans, to bring the experience and expertise of a core of well-seasoned, engineering professionals to as many of its customers as possible. The services are outlined on the homepage of the group:

Germann Instruments continues to confirm its commitment to serve the in-situ and NDT testing community by placing state-of-the-art diagnostic tools in the hands of field engineers and consultants.
